Sage Insights Conference Recap

We have just returned from Sage Insights in Denver, Sage's annual user conference.  Following are a few of the topics we received information on that could be of benefit to Sage MAS ERP users.

• Sage MAS 90 and 200 now has an option called Sage MAS 90/200 Extended Enterprise Suite (EES).  This system takes many of the popular modules and bundles them into one system with one user price instead of a la carte pricing (although some modules can be added a la carte).  Users can upgrade to this system and gain all of the additional functionality for a per-user upgrade price.  One key note is that the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) that is included with EES can cost upwards of $20,000 depending on the number of users required; and you receive this functionality for as little as $500.00 per MAS user!  For more information, click here.

• Sage has just released the first Sage SalesLogix Cloud Edition.  This takes the popular CRM software into the software-as-a-service model.  We think more Sage applications will begin to be deployed in the framework in the coming years.  For more information, click here.


• With the introduction of Sage MAS 500 version 7.3, the functionality has been introduced to allow a user to manage new BIE and BIA views from the menu without going through the painful Task Editor as before.  This is a significant functionality improvement for any user that has custom views.  For more information, click here.


• One of the development partners we work with for Sage MAS 500 that developed O2 Process manufactoring, Escape Velocity Systems, has developed a really great add-on for Sage MAS 90/200/500 that acts like a Google search for accounting data called z-Find.  We see this as a significant add-on, and plan on having some webinars on this in the coming months. 


• Another development partner, Blytheco, has developed a web clinet for Sage MAS 90 and 200 called Bly-Mobile.  This would allow someone to access Sage MAS 90 and 200 anywhere they can access a web browser.  This technology could be big for deployment of MAS across multiple locations.  We will be working with Blytheco to bring you a webinar on this as well.
